Kick's clip supply hasn't caught up with its growth
Kick has grown fast — passing roughly 11% of total live watch time and settling in as the fourth most-watched live platform globally, with a single month in early 2026 crossing 100 million hours watched. The audience is real and growing quickly.
What hasn't kept pace is clip supply. Kick's own discovery surfaces — front page, category pages, recommendations — favor channels that are already large, so net-new audience for a growing Kick streamer overwhelmingly comes from outside the platform, not from Kick's own browse pages.
That makes short-form clips one of the most reliable ways for a Kick stream to reach viewers who never open Kick directly at all — and right now, plenty of streamers with meaningful concurrent viewership still don't have anyone cutting their VODs into clips at all.
For a Kick streamer weighing whether a clip channel is worth setting up, the honest framing is that it's less a nice-to-have and more the main growth lever available outside the platform itself — which is the exact gap OptimaClip's Kick VOD ingestion is built to close without needing a dedicated editor on staff.
