The gap between hours streamed and clips published is bigger than most streamers realize

Most streamers leave the majority of their VOD hours completely unrepurposed — a six-hour stream might produce one clip a community member happened to catch live, with everything else sitting unwatched in the VOD archive within days.

That gap matters because streamers are currently growing roughly 10x faster on TikTok than on Twitch itself. The audience finding a streamer for the first time is increasingly more likely to do it through a 30-second clip on their feed than by browsing Twitch's category pages directly.

Raw Twitch VOD footage isn't ready for that audience as-is — it's 16:9 with a webcam overlay in the corner, built for a desktop stream layout, not a vertical feed. Turning six hours of VOD into a week of TikTok-ready clips means finding the actual highlight moments first, then reformatting each one to 9:16 with the speaker properly framed, not just cropping the sides off.

This is precisely the workflow OptimaClip's Twitch ingestion is built for — pull the VOD directly, surface the highlight-worthy moments, and export them already reframed for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, instead of a streamer or their editor scrubbing hours of footage by hand.
