Repurposing a product launch event into weeks of clips
A product launch event repurposes into weeks of short-form, but the clips have a short shelf life, so plan the cut list before the event rather than editing after: know which features, demos, and lines you want as clips so you can publish within 48 hours while interest is highest.
The reliable clip types from a launch: the single-feature demo (show the feature doing the thing, 20 to 30 seconds), the problem framing (the 'here's why this was broken' segment), the one-line positioning statement, and any genuinely impressive live demo moment.
Record with clips in mind. Ask the presenter to pause briefly between sections and to state each feature's name clearly at the start of its segment — those pauses become clean cut points and the name becomes the title.
Screen-share and demo footage should export as 1:1 or 4:5 so the product stays legible; save 9:16 for the presenter-on-stage moments.
Publish in a sequence over the launch week: positioning clip day one, then one feature demo per day. That sustains attention longer than dumping everything the first afternoon.
Hold two or three clips back for the following weeks — a launch's content value doesn't have to be spent in 72 hours if you pace the feature demos.
Load the event recording into OptimaClip, cut around your pre-planned timestamps, and batch-export; the per-ratio exports handle the demo-versus-stage framing difference automatically.
