How Credits Work
Your plan grants a fixed number of credits each billing period. Every credit spent is logged in a running ledger visible on your dashboard's Overview page, itemized by exactly what it paid for — nothing is bundled or hidden.
Monthly allowances
- Starter: 300 credits/month
- Creator: 600 credits/month
- Agency: 1,000 credits/month
New accounts get a free 3-day (72-hour) trial with 30credits — no card needed. On the trial, videos and VODs of any length are accepted and the first 30 minutes of each are clipped; trial clips carry an OptimaClip watermark. Subscribe to a plan with your card any time: you're charged the plan's price, its full monthly allowance is granted right then, and every trial clip is re-rendered without the watermark, free. Nothing is charged unless you subscribe.
New Clip Job pricing
One rule: 1 credit = 1 minute of source video. That's the whole price of a job. Every clip the AI finds and the first export of each clip in every format are free — so a 10-minute video costs 10 credits whether it produces 3 clips or 15, and however many aspect ratios you export.

The only render that costs credits is re-rendering a format a clip already has — say you tweak the caption style and re-export 9:16 — at 1credit. Captions are always included free, on by default and fully optional. You're only ever charged for renders that actually finish successfully.
Clip Planner pricing
The Clip Planner is a separate, text-only tool — paste a transcript or description and it returns clip ideas without touching transcription or rendering. It has its own flat price: 5 credits per run, regardless of how many candidate clips it returns.
Buying extra credits
Need more before your plan renews? Add-on packs are available any time from your billing page, even if you still have credits left:
- 200 credits for $25
- 300 credits for $35
- 500 credits for $55
Renewal & expiration
Credits are granted again at the start of each billing period when your subscription renews, on top of whatever's left unused. Every grant — a plan renewal, trial credits, or an add-on pack — expires 60 days after it's granted if it hasn't been used by then. Credits are always spent oldest-first, so nothing expires early just because you bought more later.
